Licensing Definitions
Developers
Developers are the count of Individuals or Development Machines that will use, compile, or run any Iron Product code with a debugger attached over a rolling 30-day window.
- This only applies to development, meaning staging, production servers, or end-user targets do not count. Using the debugger outside DEV is not expected or industry best practice, but will be identified as development usage.
- An employee with two machines (e.g.: one at home and one at the office) will count as two developers
- Contract developers and work-from-home developers are counted
Locations
Locations, counted by city, where your projects are being developed.
- Two offices in the same city count as one location.
- Unlimited locations available on Unlimited Monthly or Unlimited Enterprise, or adding Royalty-free Redistribution coverage to Team licenses
Projects
The total historical count of software development projects produced using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) with a single license key
- 1 Project = Each Visual Studio, JetBrains Rider, or other IDE project

DatabaseController.csproj does not reference PdfManager.csproj, so it wouldn't be counted.- Counted Projects:
- Each standalone application, library, or component directly referencing and licensing IRON SOFTWARE within an IDE project.
- Each project that depends on a referenced project (wrapper) using IRON SOFTWARE within the same IDE.
- Not Counted:

Royalty-Free Redistribution Option
- OEM Coverage: This license permits the distribution of end-user software that includes our products. It is suitable if you're embedding our software in applications without exposing our functionalities via public APIs to other developers.
- SaaS Coverage: This license permits the use of our products within SaaS platforms to deliver backend features and services to end-users. SaaS providers embedding our software can offer its capabilities indirectly through their platform, provided end-users cannot directly access or interact with our APIs.
- SDK Coverage: If your product features a public API that exposes our functionalities to other developers, you must use an SDK license. This is necessary if your existing end-user software under an OEM license evolves to include public APIs. Note that creating or adding to code libraries for resale using our products is strictly prohibited under the SDK License
- No Coverage Required: If Iron Software products are used internally within your organization without redistribution or public API exposure, no additional license is required.

- Team or IronSuite license
- Up to 3 developers total, in 3 locations, working no more than 3 projects
- Coverage for one legal organization - cannot be used by partner or subsidiary companies
- Redistribution is available (with Royalty-free Redistribution Add-On)
- Royalty-free Redistribution also extends location coverage to unlimited locations.
Professional
- Team or IronSuite license
- Upto 10 developers, locations, and projects
- Coverage for one legal organization - cannot be used by partner or subsidiary companies
- Royalty-free Redistribution is available (with Royalty-free Redistribution Add-On)
- Royalty-free Redistribution also extends location coverage to unlimited locations
Unlimited Monthly
- Team or IronSuite license
- No developer number restrictions
- No location number restrictions
- No project number restrictions
- Coverage for one legal organization - cannot be used by partner or subsidiary companies
- Royalty-free Redistribution is available (with Royalty-free Redistribution Add-On)
- Air Gapped development is available for offline development environments
- Coverage for one legal organization - can be used by partner or subsidiary companies
Enterprise Licensing
- Enterprise Licensing is a bespoke licensing tier designed for compliance first businesses needing licensing tailored to their business requirements and use case.
- IronSuite Enterprise license includes Royalty-free Redistribution coverage and airgapped development environment support.
- Recommended for governments and financial institutions
- No developer number restrictions
- No location number restrictions
- No project number restrictions
